a 30 minute presentation available to parent /caregiver groups
The Hello Israel Project provides students with a social studies presentation about Israel. NCJW volunteers go to 6th grade classrooms in schools that have little or no Jewish populations. Training is provided to our volunteers who then travel to the schools in groups of two or more. Students have been extremely responsive and love seeing their names written in Hebrew as well as “participating” in a simulated archaeological dig.
All Aboard! Imagination Express takes its creative, energetic team to various locations throughout the city. One evening a month, the Imagination Express volunteers are at New Life Transitional Housing. With storytelling, drama, art projects, songs, and snacks, these volunteers bring joy to homeless children and parents residing in this facility. Imagination Express can also be seen traveling to day care centers, schools, and hospitals. 
A dynamic tutoring team from NCJW, Cleveland Section goes to George Washington Carver Elementary School to help students develop literacy and math concepts. Volunteers also bring enrichment activities to the school such as woodworking, poetry, drama, art, music, storytelling, and photography. NCJW also sponsors special events such as the Creative Arts Showcase, the Carver Hike through Metropolitan Park, and special assemblies.
Partners In Reading (formerly Parents As School Partners) believes that early reading with children will encourage a lifelong love for books. This group of volunteers helps to enhance parents’ involvement in reading with their early elementary age students. Volunteers meet monthly at Buckeye Woodland School and John Dewey Kindergarten Campus to dialogue with parents and share strategies about reading books in an interactive, relaxed atmosphere. Parents are taught to go beyond the words with activities to further stimulate young minds. Parents are given books to take home and read with their children.
Working with the Cuyahoga County Department of Families and Children, NCJW,CS obtains, furnishes, and stuffs duffel bags for foster children in the county who otherwise would have to transport their belongings in garbage bags. Bags are filled with toiletries, stuffed animals, and school supplies.
Friendship and fellowship is served right along with dinner on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at Council Gardens, a residence for senior citizens in Cleveland Heights. From 4:30-6:00 p.m., volunteers assist seniors during the dinner hour. 
NCJW Volunteers assist people who are visually impaired through this Community Service Project. Each Thursday, volunteers help adults with various degrees of visual impairments at the Mayfield Jewish Community Center Activities include arts and crafts, special programs, and socializing. 
Let us entertain you! This talented team of entertainers travel to different venues throughout the city. The large group, with their choreographed show, is welcomed excitedly as their singing and dancing brings smiles wherever they go.
